Elijah Wood

Elijah Jordan Wood was born on the 28th of January 1981 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. As elijah wood grew elijah wood became a mischievous, active boy earning the name "Little Monkey" from his mother! Seeing the potential for a star elijah wood's Mum Debbie put elijah wood in various talent shows and local advertising. After this success the family moved to the big lights of Los Angeles when elijah wood was seven where they met elijah wood's agent. When asked "Would you like to be an actor?" elijah wood thought, "Why not?" and has never looked back. elijah wood started work in a Paula Abdul film clip and then had minor parts in Back to the Future II, Internal Affairs and Avalon. In 1991 elijah wood had his first starring role in the movie Paradise and his acting career has gone on from there! elijah wood has a brother and a sister, Hannah who is three years younger and Zack who is seven years older. He also has two dogs, Rascal (pictured right with elijah wood) and Levonne. elijah wood enjoys fencing, riding his bike, playing his computer, cooking, reading and collecting Star Wars memorabilia. His favourite bands are The Beatles and The Smashing Pumpkins. His favourite song is I Am the Walrus by The Beatles and his favourite album is Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness (Smashing Pumpkins). elijah wood likes to read and his favourite books are The Hobbit by JR Tolkien and The Hunchback of Notre Dame by Victor Hugo. His favourite actor is Tim Roth and his favourite actress is Emma Thompson. His favourite movie is Braveheart.

elijah wood wears glasses but not all the time. He is glad to be an actor and is happy that elijah wood started young. In Flipper elijah wood hated the character of the person elijah wood played, Sandy. "I think that Sandy is a negative person. A real brat. But because elijah wood changes in the movie, I thought it would be a real challenge to play the role."- elijah wood elijah wood's parents, Debbie and Warren, are divorced. elijah wood was the first person to win the NATO/Sho West Young Star of the Year Award elijah wood learns singing professionally. He owns a Piano and guitar but cannot play either well. If elijah wood wasn't an Actor he'd be a Secret Agent!!!

At the age of 7, elijah wood was taken to a modelling conference in LA where he was soon snapped up for some modelling and tv ads. He went on to appear in many films, often playing a sibling of the main star. His name, and skills, became really noticed thanks to his roles in "The Faculty" and "Oliver Twist". elijah wood's future looks secure with future roles in "Lord of the Rings".
